Project Overview

We teamed up with Akarsha & Nethmira to develop a visually striking sports-themed branding package for their cricket-focused YouTube channel. The aim was simple yet powerful: boost audience engagement and establish a strong visual identity that instantly resonates with cricket fans.

This project covered two key deliverables:

  1. Two high-energy cricket-style thumbnails tailored for maximum click-through rate (CTR) on YouTube.

  2. A custom-designed YouTube channel banner that sets the tone for the entire channel and reinforces brand recognition.

Design Goals & Approach

Our creative direction revolved around bringing the spirit of cricket to life while ensuring every design was optimized for YouTube’s visual format. The focus was on:

  • Bold, attention-grabbing colors that stand out in the YouTube feed.

  • Dynamic action photography capturing the excitement of cricket matches.

  • Clear, readable typography that communicates instantly even on smaller screens.

  • Consistent branding elements across both thumbnails and banner to create a unified channel identity.

The banner was designed to fit perfectly across all devices — from smartphones to large desktop screens — ensuring no crucial visual elements were cropped or misplaced.

Creative Process

We began by understanding the tone and personality of the channel. Akarsha & Nethmira wanted a design that felt energetic, professional, and appealing to both casual viewers and hardcore cricket fans.

From there, we moved into:

  1. Concept Development – Mood boards, sports-inspired layouts, and color explorations.

  2. Thumbnail Design – We crafted two unique yet stylistically consistent thumbnails, each featuring bold player shots, layered backgrounds, and impactful text placement.

  3. Banner Creation – A panoramic visual with seamless composition, combining cricket elements and the channel’s branding cues.

Tools & Techniques

  • Adobe Photoshop – For image manipulation, background composition, and effects.

  • Adobe Illustrator – For sharp, scalable graphic elements and typography.

Final Outcome

The result was a professional, cohesive visual package that elevated Akarsha & Nethmira’s YouTube presence.

  • Thumbnails: Highly clickable, with visual storytelling that drives curiosity.

  • Banner: A statement piece that instantly tells viewers they’re in for cricket-focused content.

This project not only improved the channel’s visual branding but also helped the client stand out in the competitive sports niche on YouTube.
